Breast surgery across New York City’s five boroughs

Wherever you live in the city, the steps are the same: read the guides, send one short request with your ZIP code or neighborhood, and an independent plastic surgery office replies. Tell the office where you are and how far you are happy to travel for the consultation, the operation and the follow-up visits.

Breast Augmentation NYC is a free referral service, not a clinic. It has no office of its own; requests go to independent plastic surgery offices in New York City.

Manhattan

Manhattan is New York County. Many surgical practices are on the Upper East Side, along Park, Fifth and Madison Avenues between roughly 59th and 96th Streets, where Lenox Hill Hospital and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital also stand. Others are in Midtown and Midtown East, near Grand Central and Penn Station, and on the Upper West Side. Requests also come from Flatiron, NoMad, Union Square, Gramercy, SoHo, Tribeca, Chelsea, the Village, the Financial District, Harlem and Washington Heights.

Brooklyn

Brooklyn is Kings County. Requests come from Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO, Park Slope, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, Sheepshead Bay, Bushwick and Crown Heights.

Queens

Queens is Queens County. Requests come from Long Island City, Astoria, Forest Hills, Flushing, Jackson Heights, Bayside, Rego Park and Jamaica.

The Bronx

The Bronx is Bronx County. Requests come from Riverdale, Pelham Bay, Throgs Neck, Fordham, Mott Haven and Parkchester.

Staten Island

Staten Island is Richmond County, reached by the Staten Island Ferry and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. Requests come from St. George, New Dorp, Great Kills, Tottenville, Todt Hill and Grant City.

Just outside the city

People also come from Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties), Westchester County and northern New Jersey, including Jersey City, Hoboken and Fort Lee. A surgeon who practices in New York holds a New York license, which you can check on the NYSED verification search.

Planning around surgery in the city

  • Cleveland Clinic says someone should drive you home after breast augmentation and ideally stay with you the first night, so plan that before you book.
  • Ask where the follow-up visits take place and how many there are.
  • Think about stairs, a long commute and carrying bags in the first weeks; ASPS says most people return to desk work about a week after surgery.

Before choosing, read the cost guide, and if a lift or a reduction may be part of your plan, the breast lift and breast reduction guides.

Wherever you are in the five boroughs, send one short request to an independent plastic surgery office.
